The plating is tarnished in difficult to access places, and the gold wash in the bell is a bit marked, there are also a few patches where the plating has worn through. The tube itself seems to be in very good condition with very few dents and dings considering its age, I cannot see anything but surface damage. I hope the photographs convey the condition of the instrument. Again, a trawl round the internet may be of use. I found some good alternative fingerings for these and the altissimo register when I played the instrument regularly but have now forgotten them. No front F or side F# - this was normal for the period. I think the serial number of the instrument makes it a mark II model from 1921, but I would encourage anyone to check this on the internet. Apologies for the close up of my t-shirt at the end. Just running some scales and patterns etc. Very Vintage Buescher True Tone Tenor Saxophone serial number 83396 Please see the video of the instrument being played.
